MY ANGRY SON

This was my first piece for AP based off of research and thumbnail studies I had done over the summer. I wanted to fuse traditional japanese art styles with 70s psychedelic vibes. I decided that watercolor would be the best way to portray this idea. I then later decided to jazz it up with some glitter gel pens. The focal point of this piece is the koi fish, his name is Conrad. The contrasting colors and the way I’ve chosen to display this piece make it a standout. This piece really showed that my artwork was going to be fairly different from the rest of the class.
