WAVVES

This was done as a fan art assignment for screen printing. Naturally, the band, Wavves was my first choice for subject matter. I’ve been a fan of their music since they released King of The Beach. I wanted to stay true to not only their surf punk aesthetic, but also my grunge skater aesthetic. So of course a drippy font with a cool smoking alien was the best choice. I mixed a custom green for the first layer and did the lineart in black. Overall I believe this is a successful piece and it's my best print of the year.
